OS porting |
Wide
range of RTOSs like pSOS, VxWORKS,
WinCE, eCOS is available today
with many features and for varied
applications. The costs of these
RTOSs are high and attached to
them are also the royalty costs.
It has been observed that, Linux
as an operating system has been
widely accepted by device manufacturers
since it overcomes the above shortcomings.
The objective was achieved through
implementations of following activities:
• Porting of Linux over
evaluator 7T and ARM7TDMI processor.
• Installation of Real-Time
Linux over PC and benchmarking
• Self Bootable Floppy based
Linux for i386 board.
• Porting of Linux over
evaluator 7T and ARM7TDMI processor
IAP in its endeavor to keep abreast
with the latest technological
advancements in embedded systems,
and also with the objective to
build competence and expertise
in this segment decided to invest
towards porting of Linux over
New architecture / Processor.

Wrapper
development |
IAP developed
Wrapper on RTOS compatible with
ITRON 4.0, which enables applications
developed on other royalty based
high functionality based RTOSs
to execute smoothly through this
Wrapper.
There are applications that do
not require high-end specifications
from its RTOS, but the RTOS associated
it has extra-ordinary functionalities
and high-end specifications that
certainly carry higher price tag
and heavy royalties. Further,
with a series of technical updates
occurring at regular intervals,
task specific RTOSs are readily
available which are highly compact
in nature. These technological
advancements coupled with competitive
pricing and royalty structure,
form a lucrative proposition to
the user.
This Wrapper is not only beneficial
to application developer but also
act as evaluator that assist prospective
user to understand, feel and evaluate
in taking calculated decision.
• Application Developer:
Lesser One time Cost with recurring
savings on royalty. Also, no significant
changes are required on development
front to further modify / alter
application at coding level
• Japanese Mobile OEM: Wrapper
shall act as a pre-sales evaluation
tool to prospective RTOS users.

Costing and estimation
applications |
This application
was developed for specialized
businesses in Japan which have
specific cost estimation and budgeting
requirements. These calculations
became more complex because they
were based on statistical data
which is updated yearly. Our Target
was to streamline their business
using this Web-enabled desktop
application and to provide then
with a Live Update, Live help
facility to maintain their database
on a yearly basis. RAD tools were
used for making this application.
After developed this application,
the client can now provide its
customers with quick and easy
access to the applications and
information needed. The client
benefited from higher efficiency

Migration of legacy system |
These were
the words told to us after the
client gave details of their system.
The legacy system was based on
the first Visual basic version
released by Microsoft and used
an old database. With a targeted
customer base, the client wanted
to automate and streamline activities
using technological advancements.
The application was not user friendly
and had outgrown itself. There
were many performance issues with
the system and it was time to
migrate it. The new system required
better performance, updated business
logic and an easy GUI. IAP, with
a proven track record in migrating
and porting, took the project
and reengineered the application
to improve features and functionality.

system

One of the
leading IT companies in Japan
wanted a single application taking
care of all the business needs
for a “Work Control System.”
Two teams, comprised of 200 people
between the Tokyo and New Delhi
offices, executed the project
within the stipulated timeframe
while adhering to strict standards
of quality. The highlight of this
project was to integrate the project
with existing applications and
reducing the cost of development
and maintenance drastically. Using

produced a single, comprehensive

A client
needed a new legacy system to
catch up with management operations
for their growing business. Using
Microsoft .net technology, IAP
designed and deployed a new online
system for the client to increase
and manage its customer base.
The system now enables around
2000 users to work and share their
data online. The new system helped
the client’s customers navigate
and shop online with greater ease
24hours a day, 7days a week. This
led to a significant revenue increase. |
